The Renal Unit in Almak Nemer University Hospital, Shendi, Sudan cater for a population of 440,000 and provides dialysis treatment for 250 patients and the number is expected to rise. The Unit has a capacity of 16 machines of which 9 are currently out of action and are irreparable.

The Unit urgently needs the following:

9 haemodialysis machines

13 dialysis chairs

Deputy Vice Chancellor Shendi University and  Dr Elsaeed Osman with representative of Atbara Cement Co. (Sudan) delivering two dialysis machines to Almak Nemer University Hospital
